BOTH MORE AND LESS THAN ITSELF is a new collaborative project featuring Liz Allbee (trumpet), Kobe Van Cauwenberghe (guitars), Emilie Škrijelj (accordion, electronics), Tom Malmendier (drums, percussion), Marina Cyrino (flutes, objects), and Matthias Koole (guitars, no-input).
On 16 April 2026, they will present a 60–80-minute piece that they have been developing during a three-day residency at Studioboerne45, employing a variety of collaborative strategies.
The ensemble has an unusually wide instrumental range. The musicians will bring setups moving between acoustic sources, experimental amplification, electronics and preparations.
Funded by Musikfonds e.V. by means of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media (BKM).
